About the position: Applications for Lower School Teaching positions are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year for grade PreK.
Requirements: Teach full day Serve as a role model for students Observe policies, procedures, and directives from school administration Integrate technology into curriculum delivery Implement effective classroom and behavior management skills Keep student management system up-to-date with grades and lesson plans (Blackbaud Education Management) Manage support materials (curriculum manipulatives and technology devices) used throughout the year Work collegially with others Incorporate best practices into classroom instructional strategies Come to class/work each day with materials and plans fully prepared for the day Employ school-wide adopted curriculum as directed by the school administration Embrace school-wide initiatives for student growth and spiritual development Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Teaching certification (Texas certification preferred) Possess basic computer skills Winsome attitude Teachable spirit Additional qualifications may be required for specific positions Benefits of Working at San Marcos Academy: Small class sizes Highly motivated students Involved and engaged parents Supportive and familial school community Group Insurance and Retirement plans (optional) Beautiful campus in proximity to local amenities Compensation: Based upon SMA pay scale and commensurate with experience.
