John Newcombe Country Club in New Braunfels, Texas is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of a part-time Kids Club Attendant!
Designed, constructed and operated by the Cliff Drysdale Tennis team, this boutique Country Club boasts the widest variety of fitness equipment, heart-pumping classes and results-driven workouts in a comfortable, spacious and inviting atmosphere.
Summary
The Kids Club Attendant provides all the necessary primary care for children 6 months to 12 years old, and independent and group activities for toddlers and direct supervision of older children in the Kids Club.
Primary job is to ensure the safety and security of all children while in the Kids Club care.
Daily Tasks include Arts and Crafts such as Painting, Bracelet Making, Perler Beads, Play-time with Children; playing with Blocks, on the playground, Play Kitchen, dress up.
Monday- Thursday 4-8pm
Essential Duties:
Maintains a safe environment for children placed in day care.
Organizes and participates in recreational activities, such as games.
Reads to children, and teaches them simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs
Must portray a fun and energetic demeanor Sanitizes toys, play equipment, and complete the daily cleaning checklist
Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed as needed to include accident reports, sign in sheets, and opening and closing sheets
Contacts parent/guardian, if necessary, to attend to discipline issues and attend to personal needs (diaper changing, changing clothes)
Ensures parents are adhering to the Kids Club policies and signs child in and out of facility.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Must be able to communicate with children.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with parents.
Hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone.
Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.
g.
, the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Childcare experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks, hears, stands and walks, climbs or balances; stoops, and kneels.
Occasionally sits, crouches, or crawls, tastes or smells.
Occasionally lifts up to 45 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
Noise level is moderate.
