This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills both with customers, lienholders and co-workers and requires the ability to multi-task in a fast environment.
*Core Responsibilities/duties will include but are not limited to the following:* * Provide customer instructions regarding policy cancellation and reinstatement * Track and maintain all customer correspondence regarding cancellation and reinstatement requests * Discuss billing and payment records with customers * Obtain, verify and investigate account discrepancy validity on customers behalf * Process and issue cancellation and reinstatement requests in company database * Issue refunds and overpayments to customers * Process and prepare billing notices to be generated to the mail house * Any additional duties assigned by the supervisor *Required job skills:* * High school diploma * Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and 10-key adding machine * Must be detail and deadline oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask * Must be able to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment * Must be able to work between various files, folders and drives within the company computer system * Must be sensitive to customers while adhering to company policy and procedures * Ability to maintain calm and rational disposition while interacting with customers and co-workers * Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred *Work Environment and Physical Demands with reasonable accommodations:* * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and be able to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery on a constant basis * Frequently required to communicate with co-workers and policy holders with the ability to exchange accurate information as necessary * Occasionally required to move about the office, ascend/descend stairs or a ladder or position self to maintain computers at workstation, including under the desk or other low areas * Occasionally required to move and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds * Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate * Position _may_ require temporary remote work.
