_*Installer II – Septic & Wastewater Industry *_
We are a family owned and operated business that is seeking a qualified installer who will also assist with coordinating operations and oversee workers at job sites – both commercial and residential.
As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project.
An Installer II has a solid background in the field.
Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions.
You must be well-organized and favor safety and accuracy above everything else.
The company will provide equipment and tools, uniform shirts, field training and continued education.
Our work is primarily in Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, Gonzales, and Wilson Counties, but commercial sites could be further.
Will travel to the job site each day from the shop.
Must be able to operate and load heavy equipment.
Must be able to work in Texas weather conditions.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
* Work with management to create production schedules and timelines
* Allocate general and daily responsibilities
* Supervise and train workers
* Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
* Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
* Supervise the use of machinery and equipment being operated by others
* Resolve problems when they arise
* Report progress to managers, engineers, inspectors, etc.
Skills
* Ability to operate heavy machinery including a backhoe, skid steer and excavator
* Proven experience as supervisor who is knowledgeable of the wastewater industry
* In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
* Understanding of septic and wastewater systems and TCEQ rules & regulations
* Electrical and plumbing experience
* Ability to read engineer designs and dig to specs
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* Ability to communicate and report effectively
* Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
* Working knowledge of tools & equipment
* Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
* Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
* Flexibility a must.
Some weekends or travel may be required
* Valid and active Texas driver’s license
