Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
2+ years of Active Directory experience
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.
g.
, PowerShell, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and streamline identity management processes.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Familiarity with directory services like Active Directory, LDAP, and identity federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
Demonstrated management of systems or services that include responsibilities of planning, implementation, and maintenance.
A solid grasp of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with IAM solutions from vendors like Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Okta, Sailpoint, Fischer Identity, etc.
Experience with Banner student information system
Experience with two factor authentication systems such as Duo
Linux or Windows server administration experience
Experience implementing social login (login with Google/Facebook, etc)
Job Description
Serve as the primary application administrator and subject matter expert for Texas State University’s identity management system.
Job Duties
Manage and maintain identity management platform for Texas State University.
Perform system administration tasks such as system backups, restore, patching, configuration, and maintenance.
Configure interfaces between systems enabling single-sign-on (SSO), federation, and other identity related functions.
Create and maintain documentation for identity management system and related systems.
Write, troubleshoot, and maintain scripts for managing identity data, identity provisioning and deprovisioning, and importing and exporting identity data between systems.
Produce reports, dashboards, statistics, and metrics for identity management system and related systems.
Perform data management tasks such as identifying and resolving duplicate identities, purging expired data, merging duplicate identities, data validation and correcting invalid data.
Troubleshooting and problem resolution for identity and authentication issues.
General system administration tasks not related to Identity management system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
