Responsibilities:
As a Production Manager in training, you will play a vital role in supporting and learning the ins and outs of our production process, inventory management, quality control, and coaching and development of our warehouse personnel.
Your responsibilities will include:
Participate in the oversight of the overall production process, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
Collaborate in the planning, design, and execution of process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Contribute to the identification and evaluation of new material vendors with a focus on reducing the cost of finished goods.
Ensure that fleet maintenance procedures are carried out promptly to minimize disruptions.
Assist in Conducting regularly scheduled Cycle Counts to maintain Inventory accuracy
Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Encourage employee suggestions, develop safety awareness among employees, and enforce all applicable safety regulations and Company practices and procedures.
Review maintenance checklists and equipment repair schedules on a regular and frequent basis.
Supervise hazardous waste programs and all other applicable governmental regulatory agency programs.
Perform a monthly inventory of production supplies.
Assist with disassembly and assembly of hybrid batteries
Assist in organizing and distributing shipments of hybrid batteries and other material
Sort, Organize, Clean, and Inspect hybrid battery parts
Assist in the interviewing and hiring of new warehouse personnel
Assist with training new warehouse personnel
Assist with coaching and corrective actions for warehouse personnel
Assume other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
High School Diploma or GED
Some college is strongly preferred but not required
Must be comfortable with lifting 80 lbs multiple times throughout the day
Forklift experience is strongly preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite applications.
Previous experience with ERP systems, preferably Syteline.
Previous experience with inventory management
Background in production, manufacturing, and remanufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Strong communication skills to facilitate interaction with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Effective time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative mindset, capable of working closely with various teams to achieve common goals.
