Position Description
The Department of Sociology at Texas State University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position beginning fall 2024.
The university has a teaching track that includes promotion; this hire would be at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Although the area of specialization is open, the main teaching need to be fulfilled is the ability to teach introduction to Sociology

Required Qualifications
A Ph.
D.
in sociology, completed by date of hire.
A record of, or demonstrated potential for, successful teaching in Introduction to Sociology.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability or demonstrated potential to teach large face to face classes.
