*Position:*
The primary focus of an After-School Instructor (Part Time) will be to teach Snapology programs.
After-School Instructor (Part Time) is asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on S.

(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) concepts.
Programs are conducted for children ages 4-12+, although not all instructors are required to teach all age groups.
This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to partners as well as parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.
*Role & Responsibilities:*
* Weekdays after-school classes with Comal ISD, New Braunfels ISD, and Judson ISD Campuses
* Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities
* Follow all Snapology lesson plans & activities.
Each class is fully prepared for each instructor - _no lesson plan creation needed!_ *All materials, lesson plans, & paid training is provided*
* Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
* Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
* Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology
* Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
* Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in face-to-face training sessions to be held in person in New Braunfels, TX
* Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
* Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
* Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required
*Qualifications:*
* Criminal and Child Clearances must be current
* 1 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
* Teachers pursuing a degree in education and/or certification will also be considered for this position; Education Degree or State Teaching Certificate holder preferred not required
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
* Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
* Experience working with typical & non typical learners is a plus
* Valid driver's license and access to a reliable transportation
*School Year Program Specifics:*
* Instructors will be assigned classes based on availability; current needs are for after school hours between the hours of 2:30p-5p (Monday to Friday) and weekends for 1–2-hour blocks

* Weekday in-school, after-school, and/or evening classes

Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, STEM Teacher (Part Time) typically work between 4-20 hours per week.
Full Time Hours are available during school Summer, Spring, Winter school breaks.
