Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
- Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children
- Foster positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Assess and monitor the development of each child and provide individualized support as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational program
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, progress, and behavior
- Follow all licensing regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Skills:
- Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and organized learning environment for young children
- Literacy education: Knowledge of early literacy skills and strategies to promote reading readiness
- Experience working with students: Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
- Early childhood education: Understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Physical education: Ability to incorporate physical activity into daily lesson plans to promote gross motor skills development
- Educate: Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds to learn and grow
- Child welfare: Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students
- Childcare: Ability to provide nurturing care for young children, including meeting their basic needs such as feeding, diapering, etc.
- Childhood development: Understanding of the stages of childhood development and ability to tailor instruction accordingly
- Special education: Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs
