is currently accepting applications to fill a part-time, PAID Human Resources Internship at our Corporate Headquarters in Seguin, TX.
Under immediate supervision, the HR Intern will assist the Vice President of Human Resources, HR Director, Employee Relations & Diversity, HR Director, Total Systems & Rewards, and other Corporate HR Staff, to complete daily tasks and strategic initiatives.

The Corporate HR Intern will:
Assist with steps in the recruiting and hiring process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews and conducting initial phone screenings.
Prepare all new hire paperwork, assisting with new hire orientation, and creating new employee files.
Assist with annual benefits open enrollment processes and wellness programs.
Assist the Policy Committee with company policy updates.
Assist with HR's responsibilities during an acquisition if the need arises.
Provide assistance during HR's compliance with Affirmative Action processes.
Properly maintain employee files and confidentiality.
Evaluate and audit company job descriptions and associated materials.
Research and collect data for various HR initiatives.
Assist with employee background checks.
Assist with other routine HR administrative support as needs arise.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position.
Proficient with desktop computer applications; including spreadsheets and word processing.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Able to reason and use good judgment.
Able to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment.
Education and Experience:
Intern must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited undergraduate program pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or similar degree.
Preferably, the intern will have completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate study.
The internship is intended to run concurrently with the selected student's academic studies.
Working conditions:
Work will be performed in an office environment indoors with frequent sitting for extended periods of time and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, stooping, reaching, and bending.
