*Description*
_Director of Children's Ministries is the leader for all ministries pre-k to 5th grade.
Focusing on Education, Training, and Oversight of FBGUMC's Sunday School Program, Weekday Ministries, and Special Events_

* A heart and passion for nurturing the growth of children
* An eagerness to participate in the life and community of FBGUMC
* Background in education and/or child formation/development (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
* Relational Recruiter, Compassionate Encourager, and Team Builder
* Organized with follow-up skills
* Resists stagnation
* A Go getter!
* Experience with Godly Play (or willingness to be trained)
*Core Responsibilities*
_Pastoral_
* Primary pastoral responsibility is to the children; this is mostly accomplished through leading Godly Play regularly and praying with and for the children
* Encourage Members and Families to become involved in the spiritual lives of their children by sharing information and opportunities for involvement (Such as recruiting/shepherding volunteers)
* Available to meet for Spiritual conversations, guidance, and prayer with families, members, etc.

* Perform Child Dedications/Blessings
_Education_
* Develop, Lead, and evaluate FBGUMC Children's education programming throughout the year
* Implement Godly Play Annual Teaching Schedule
* Lead Sunday 'Children's Time' Liturgy Develop Programs and Events throughout year including Summer, Easter and Christmas Events
_Administrative_
* Coordinate children's ministry facilities and supplies maintaining clean, safe, orderly places
* Write and Oversee annual budget maintain up to date communication with congregation, parents, and staff
* Attend and Improve staff meetings
*Accountability*
Reports Directly to Director of Family Ministries, who is responsible for day-to-day feedback and guidance.
Indirectly reports to Leadership Council and Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) and Senior Pastor who will be responsible for broad oversight.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.
00 - $25.
00 per hour
